Digital Voucher Fund available to help small businesses go digital
Lincolnshire County Council is launching four new grant funds to help small businesses that have been adversely affected by Covid-19.
The first of these, the Business Recovery Fund, is now open for applications as of 23rd February 2021. This fund is available to those small businesses which have been unable to fully trade, and have not previously benefited from the government’s other Covid support schemes.
The second of these to open for applications will be the Digital Voucher Fund. Businesses with fewer than 50 employees that need funding for specialist digital advice or new technology are eligible to apply.
This new technology could include e-commerce platforms, contactless payment systems, website development, software development, IT hardware and software to support remote working, and digitisation of processes.
The minimum funding amount is £1,000 and the maximum funding amount is £5,000. Up to 100 per cent of project costs can be funded, including irrecoverable VAT if the business is not VAT registered.
The funding may also be used to provide a contribution to a larger project where the applicant is able to pay any remaining costs over £5,000.
One application per business is allowed. Lincolnshire County Council says that it is particularly keen to receive applications from businesses with fewer than ten employees.
The Expression of Interest window will be open between 8 March 2021 and 12 March 2021.
