Hadi Farhat

Hadi joined Cursor on a one year internship as part of his degree course. After studying for a further year to secure his Master's degree, Hadi was offered a permanent position on the Cursor team, focusing mainly on software development.

"I quickly realised that soft skills, such as communication, are just as important as hard skills, such as programming. For example, when I'm talking with a client, my communication skills in terms of how I articulate the work I've done have proven to be just as valuable as the actual work."

Rizwana Khan

The day after her 20th birthday, Riz accepted a one year internship at Cursor which, in Riz’s words, was "truly transformative"...

"After the first week ended, I was already shattered. I stressed over how much I didn’t know, how much I felt like I really was an imposter sitting next to a brilliant team who would always know more than I ever could. I might have even counted the exact number of weeks that awaited until the end... Then, days began to change themselves…

Without a doubt, each member of the team was paramount to this growth I had never expected or envisioned. And while there were challenges, deadlines, and mistakes, there was also laughter, mentoring, and pancakes!"

“It was a very welcoming environment and I really enjoyed learning how the different people and projects came together and work was passed between each person to complete the client's requests. I also enjoyed the personal time I had to work on my website and courses on Codecademy.”
