Cursor team among the winners at Lincoln Hack 2019

A Cursor team was among the winners at the 2019 Lincoln Hack, which took place over the weekend of the 16-17 November.

Lincoln hack

Lincoln Hack is a 24-hour coding and technology competition in which teams of up to four people work together to create something - be it a digital product or a physical one - and present their ideas to win prizes awarded by the sponsors of the event.

Now in its fourth year, the Hack took place at the Mosaic Digital Hub in Lincoln, a fitting venue for an event which brings together the digital community of Lincoln.

Cursor’s own Jon, Jose, Nick and Sean won the Khaos Control challenge for creating a country music song generator which created the lyrics to a country song based on stock phrases and words, and set them to music. The judges found it very funny and praised the visual aspect as well.

Our managing director Daniel was also part of a winning team. They created a semi-cooperative card game called Hack the Planet, which won the Women in Tech award for its emphasis on diversity.

Well done to everyone who competed in Lincoln Hack 2019. With a record number of teams entering this year, it’s great to see the digital community continuing to grow in Lincoln.
